Mikkel og Louise tager på en velfortjent all inclusive-ferie til spansk ferieø sammen med deres to døtre Sille og Ella.
Omgivelserne inviterer til en uges afslapning med palmetræer og et lyseblåt Atlanterhav i horisonten. Men virkeligheden bliver en anden, da familiens ferieparadis afbrydes af både med flygtninge, der sejler ind på badestranden.
Da parret ved et uheld påkører en afghansk flygtning, som efterfølgende opsøger dem på deres hotel, kommer deres velmenende humanistiske værdier på prøve, og parret stilles over for spørgsmålet: Hvad vil det egentlig sige at være et godt menneske?
