Eventyrfilmen 'Masters of the Universe' bringer 80'er-ikonet He-Man tilbage på det store lærred.
Efter at have levet 15 år i eksil som et helt almindeligt menneske vender den unge Prins Adam tilbage til sit magiske kongerige, Eternia, der nu styres af den ondskabsfulde Skeletor.
For at redde sit hjem og sin fars rige familie må Adam igen løfte det magtfulde Kraftsværd og omfavne sin sande skæbne som He-Man — den mest magtfulde mand i universet.
Filmen 'Masters of the Universe' instrueres af Travis Knight, der tidligere har stået bag den populære Laika-animationsfilm, 'Kubo - den modige samurai'.
He-Man spilles af Nicholas Galitzine, mens Jared Leto (Tron: Ares) er hans ærkenemesis. Camila Mendes og Idris Elba ses også i store roller.
