'DEN STORE DIAMANTJAGT' er efterårets store familiekomedie med Mille Dinesen som den rebelske og flabede mormor Miss Money!
Hjemme hos de tre søskende Katja, Kenny og Kurt er pengene små. Deres mor Annisette arbejder hårdt for at få det hele til at hænge sammen, men familien har stadig ikke råd til særlig meget. Sommerferien ser derfor ud til at blive temmelig kedelig. Især for Katja, der drømmer om at komme på dansecamp med sine venner.
Alt ændrer sig, da Miss Money vender hjem fra fængslet og beder børnene om hjælp til at finde verdens største diamantring, som hun tidligere har stjålet fra en ond diamanthandler. Jagten fører dem til Bakken, hvor den onde diamanthandlers håndlangere er lige i hælene på dem.
Filmen er instrueret af Charlotte Sachs Bostrup, der bl.a. står bag Anja og Viktor 2 og 3 samt Karla-trilogien. Miss Money spillet af Mille Dinesen er senest biografaktuel med 'Jagtsæson 2' .
